The three-day (27-29 August 2022) Wular festival being organised by Jammu and Kashmir tourism department in collaboration with army and district administration Bandipora saw participation of youngsters with much fervour.
The festival aimed at creating environmental awareness, promoting water sports and tourism in the area and empowering women as well as the local fishing communities by providing a platform to showcase their talents.
Makers of food items and clothes products from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir came to participate in the festival.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said on 9 August 2022 that Maharashtra tops the list of states in organizing the most number of programs as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence.
He said, as many as 42 events have been organized in 18 districts of the state to celebrate the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.

The Union Minister of State for Culture Arjun Meghwal inaugurated the three day (16-18 June 2022) international literary festival “Unmesh” at the Gaiety Theatre in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on 16 June 2022.
Speaking on the occasion, Meghwal said "Unmesh" is being held for the first time and similar functions would be held in different parts of the country.
The festival is being organised by the Union Ministry of Culture and the Sahitya Akademi with the support of the state Department of Art and Culture as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
‘Unmesh’ — a celebration of expression — is the biggest international literary festival in the country so far.
During the festival, International Booker Prize-winning author Geetanjali Shree will express her views on women's writing in Indian languages.

The Madhavpur Ghed fair festival 2022 organised by the Government of Gujarat in partnership with the Union Ministry of Culture and Union Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. The fair was organised from 10th to 13th April 2022 and was inaugurated by the President Ramnath Kovind.
The festival commences on Ram Navami every year.
Madhavpur Ghed is a small village near Porbandar in Gujarat. It is the place where, according to folklore, Lord Krishna married Rukmini, the daughter of King Bhishmaka.
King Bhishmaka was king of Bhismaknagar, located near Roing in the lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The festival celebrates the immortal journey which Rukmini undertook from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat with Lord Krishna.
The Mishmi Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh traces its ancestry to the legendary King Bhishmak and through him to his daughter Rukmini and Lord Krishna.
Madhavpur Mela this year witnessed the magnificent folk cultural performances from the North-East, especially Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. Troupes from Assam performed Rukmini-Haran, a popular folk theatre of the region.
Musical troupe from Manipur sung songs related to Rukmini in the Khullong Ishei and Nat genŕe.
