How long will it take for my account to be activated once the payment is made?

For the users registered with their mobile number, follow the following steps for resetting your password: 1. You need to enter your mobile number on the log-in page. 2. How can I change the language of the article and quizzes?

We have a "Change Language" option in Test Series and Daily Quizzes. If you want the content (test and quiz) in Hindi/English language, go to Settings -> Change Language, to change your default language from Hindi to English or Vice-Versa.

I am unable to make payment for the pass.

In case of failure of a transaction before the amount deduction, we advise the student to try making the payment again. In case of transaction failure after amount deduction either access to the purchased product will be provided within few hours or we request the student to wait for 3 to 4 working days. The money will be credited back to his/her account.

I have made the payment but the tests are not unlocked.

Although rare, if so: You can directly mail us at [email protected] and we will resolve your issue.

What are all the payment methods allowed to buy a plan?

You can pay using: Credit Card/ Debit Card or Through: UPI and Netbanking.

What happens if I get disconnected during a test?

Don't worry! We auto-pause your test so, you can resume the test where you left. The test can also be manually paused by clicking on the "Pause" icon on the top left corner inside the timer circle. Please note: This function is not available in a Live Test.

Three Day Wular lake festival organized in Bandipore, Jammu and Kashmir ends

The three-day (27-29 August 2022) Wular festival being organised by Jammu and Kashmir tourism department in collaboration with army and district administration Bandipora saw participation of youngsters with much fervour. 

The festival aimed at creating environmental awareness, promoting water sports and tourism in the area and empowering women as well as the local fishing communities by providing a platform to showcase their talents.

Makers of food items and clothes products from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir came to participate in the festival.

Wular Lake :

  • Wular Lake is the 2nd largest fresh-water lake of Asia, situated on the foothills of Haramuk Mountain.
  • Asia's largest freshwater lake is Baikal Lake in Siberia, Russia.
  • Wular Lake is spread over a total area of 200 square km covering almost 24 km in length while its breadth is 10 km. 
  • The lake lies between the towns of Sopur and Bandippore, in Sangrama, near Baramulla Road.
  • Main source of water for Wular Lake is River Jhelum.
  •  This lake also has a small island in its centre called the ‘Zaina Lank’.
  • This island was constructed by King Zainul-Abi-Din. 
  • Wular Lake is also said to be a remnant of Satisar Lake that existed in ancient times.

Maharashtra claims to have organised maximum number of programmes under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav amongst states in India

The Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said  on 9 August 2022 that  Maharashtra tops the list of states in organizing the most number of programs as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence.

He said, as many as 42 events have been organized in 18 districts of the state to celebrate the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. 

Har Ghar Tiranga 

  •  Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there is a plan to hoist the tricolour in two crore houses in Maharashtra as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign.
  • In order to facilitate the sale and distribution of National Flags under Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, all Post Offices across the country are functioning all days up to Independence Day 2022, including on holidays.
  • The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has been launched by the Government of India as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to instill the feeling of patriotism amongst the Indian’s. 
  • Indian’s have been urged by the government to unfurl national flags at their house.
  •  It will be organised from 13-15 August 2022.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

  • It is being organised by the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. 
  • It is being overseen by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy inaugurates Jyotirgamaya' festival in New Delhi

The Union Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Jyotirgamaya festival in New Delhi on 21 June 2022, on the occasion of World Music Day .

  • Jyotirgamaya festival has been organised by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, under the Union Ministry of Culture to  showcase the talent of rare musical instruments from across the country, including street performers, train entertainers, performers attached to temples, etc.
  • It provides a platform for the amateur musicians to showcase their talents.
  •  The festival aims to make people aware about the need to safeguard the craft of making as well as the skill of playing rare musical instruments, and to give a platform to the  ‘unheard’ artists. 

World Music Day 

  • The World Music Day celebrated on June 21 is also known as Fete de la Musique. It was a music festival which began in France in 1982.
  • World Music Day was organised by Jack Lang in 1982, who was the then French Culture Minister, and Maurice Fleuret, Director of Music and Dance at the French Ministry of Culture. Together, the two started the Fête de la Musique (festival of music) on the streets of Paris.
  • The idea behind this celebration was to provide a platform to both amateur and professional musicians on the streets to celebrate the beauty of music. 
  • Later on, other nations also adopted this practice of street concerts to celebrate music.

Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu inaugurates 20th National tribal/folk song and dance festival

Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and Jal Shakti, Shri Bishweswar Tudu inaugurated the 20th Folk Fair (National tribal/folk song & dance festival) and 13th Krishi Fair 2022 at Saradhabali in Puri, Odisha on 20 June 2022

  • The two fairs which aimed at preserving tribal culture and promoting innovation in agriculture respectively will continue for five days and conclude on 24th June.
  • The objective of the 20th Folk Fair 2022 is to emphasize the importance of tribal culture and establish its originality and uniqueness. 
  • Through the fair, attempts are being made to help the groups and individuals from the tribal communities to showcase their talents in preserving their culture.
  • The 13th Krishi Fair is a platform for all organisations and companies with innovations, products, solutions and services related to agriculture.

Maximum Tribal population is in Madhya Pradesh.

International literary festival ‘Unmesh’ begins in Himachal Pradesh

The Union Minister of State for Culture Arjun Meghwal inaugurated the three day (16-18 June 2022) international literary festival “Unmesh” at the Gaiety Theatre in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on 16 June 2022.

Speaking on the occasion, Meghwal said "Unmesh" is being held for the first time and similar functions would be held in different parts of the country.

The festival is being organised by the Union Ministry of Culture and the Sahitya Akademi with the support of the state Department of Art and Culture as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

‘Unmesh’ — a celebration of expression — is the biggest international literary festival in the country so far.

During the festival, International Booker Prize-winning author Geetanjali Shree will express her views on women's writing in Indian languages.

Shirui Lily festival starts in Manipur

Governor of Manipur La. Ganesan and Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated the four day long Shirui Lily Festival 2022 on 25 May 2022.

This annual festival is organised by the Manipur Tourism to create awareness about the State Flower of Manipur, Shirui Lily.

  •  The festival is held around April and May as it is the blooming season of Shirui Lily. The flower is found in Ukhrul district of Manipur only and cannot be replanted anywhere in the world.
  •  Different events including traditional dances, songs and music, trekking, beauty contests, indigenous games, and sports will be organized at different sites in Ukhrul district.

Madhavpur Ghed Fair Festival concludes in Gujarat

The Madhavpur Ghed  fair festival 2022 organised by the Government of Gujarat in partnership with the Union  Ministry of Culture and Union  Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. The fair was organised from 10th to 13th April 2022 and was inaugurated by the President Ramnath Kovind.

  • The festival commences on  Ram Navami every year.

  • Madhavpur Ghed is a small village near Porbandar in Gujarat. It is the  place where, according to folklore, Lord Krishna married Rukmini, the daughter of King Bhishmaka. 

  • King Bhishmaka  was king of Bhismaknagar, located near Roing in the lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh.

  • The festival celebrates the immortal journey which Rukmini undertook from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat with Lord Krishna.

  • The Mishmi Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh  traces its ancestry to the legendary King Bhishmak and through him to his daughter Rukmini and Lord Krishna. 

  • Madhavpur Mela this year witnessed  the magnificent folk cultural performances from the North-East, especially Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. Troupes from Assam performed Rukmini-Haran, a popular folk theatre of the region.

  •  Musical troupe from Manipur sung songs related to Rukmini in the Khullong Ishei and Nat genŕe.
