How long will it take for my account to be activated once the payment is made?

How can I reset my password?

For the users registered with their mobile number, follow the following steps for resetting your password: 1. You need to enter your mobile number on the log-in page. 2. Click "Forget Password", to get an OTP on your registered number. 3. Using the OTP received on your number, you can now reset your password.

How can I change the language of the article and quizzes?

We have a "Change Language" option in Test Series and Daily Quizzes. If you want the content (test and quiz) in Hindi/English language, go to Settings -> Change Language, to change your default language from Hindi to English or Vice-Versa.

I am unable to make payment for the pass.

In case of failure of a transaction before the amount deduction, we advise the student to try making the payment again. In case of transaction failure after amount deduction either access to the purchased product will be provided within few hours or we request the student to wait for 3 to 4 working days. The money will be credited back to his/her account.

I have made the payment but the tests are not unlocked.

Although rare, if so: You can directly mail us at [email protected] and we will resolve your issue.

What are all the payment methods allowed to buy a plan?

You can pay using: Credit Card/ Debit Card or Through: UPI and Netbanking.

What happens if I get disconnected during a test?

Don't worry! We auto-pause your test so, you can resume the test where you left. The test can also be manually paused by clicking on the "Pause" icon on the top left corner inside the timer circle. Please note: This function is not available in a Live Test.

Viktor Axelsen, Akane Yamaguchi clinch BWF World Championships singles title

World number one Badminton player Viktor Axelsen of Denmark won his second BWF World Championships title after beating Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the final held at Tokyo, Japan on 28 August 2022.

It is his third major title in a year, he won the Tokyo Olympics and followed it up with the All England title.

Akane Yamaguchi wins women’s single title

The women's singles title has been retained by Japan's reigning champion Akane Yamaguchi.

Top-seeded Yamaguchi defeated China's Olympic champion Chen Yufei in the final. This win gave Yamaguchi her second title of the year, after lifting the trophy at the All England Open in March.

The 27th BWF World Championships 2022 was held in Tokyo, Japan from 22-28 August 2022.

Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games start in more than 11,000 panchayats in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games at the state-level function organised at Pal Panchayat of Luni block in Jodhpur district on 29 August 2022.

The games are being organized in more than 11,000 panchayats of the state.

About 2 lakh 25 thousand teams are participating in these games, in which about 30 lakh players are showing talent. 

The state government claims that the Rural Olympics is one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

Under the Rural Olympics, 6 sports-Kabaddi, Shooting Ball, Volleyball, Hockey, Kho-Kho and Tennis Ball Cricket are being played. 

These games are first being organized at the Gram panchayat level after that there will be competitions at block, district and state level.

Benzema and Putellas wins UEFA best player of the Year Award

The European football body Union of European Football Association (UEFA) every year stages an annual awards ceremony at the start of a new season to recognise the best player and coach performances from the previous editions of the UEFA men’s' and women's club competitions.

The men's and women's player of the year awards are given based on voting by a jury composed of coaches of the clubs which played in the group stages of the previous edition of UEFA club competitions as well as a group of journalists selected by the European Sports Media (ESM).

UEFA Award 2021-22 

  • Best Male player of the year: Karim Benzema of France. He plays for Real Madrid club of Spain 
  • Best Female player of the year: Alexia Putellas of Spain. She plays for Barcelona football club.
  • Best Men coach of the year: Carlo Ancelotti of Italy. He is the coach of Spanish football club Real Madrid.
  • Best Women coach of the year: Sarina Wiegman of Netherlands. She is the coach of the English national women football team.

Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal has won the award for the maximum number of 3 times.

United European Football Association (UEFA)

UEFA is the governing body of football in Europe.

National Sports Day

Every year 29 August is observed as National Sports Day in India.

This day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of the hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.

Background 

The National sports day was started in India in 2012 as a tribute to Dhyan Chand. 

On this day the President of India gives sport related national awards to distinguished sports persons like Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna award, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, etc.

Major Dhyan Chand

  • He was born on August 29, 1905, in Allahabad.   He joined the Army and he took up Hockey while serving in the Army.
  • He captained India throughout his playing career and helped India win three Olympic medals – in 1928, 1932 and 1936.
  • He was considered as the wizard of Hockey.

Government programmes on this day

  • The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has organised - 'Meet the Champion' initiative in 26 schools across the country on the occasion of National Sports Day. .
  • 'Meet the Champion' is a unique school visit campaign that was kicked off by Olympic Gold medallist Neeraj Chopra in December last year.
  • During the school visit, the champion athlete shares their experiences, life lessons, and tips on how to eat right and also gives an overall inspirational boost to school children.
  • Prominent athletes who will be a part of this initiative are Commonwealth Games and World Championships Gold medallist Nikhat Zareen, Paralympics and Commonwealth Games medallist Bhavina Patel among others.

Neeraj Chopra gifts his gold medal winning Javelin to the Olympic Museum

Tokyo summer Olympic 2020 Javelin  gold medallist Neeraj  Chopra donated his gold medal winning javelin  to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland on 27 August 2022.

He is the second India after Abhinav Bindra to donate his gold medal winning sports equipment to the Olympic museum.

Abhinav Bindra donated his gold medal winning rifle to the museum. 

Abhinav Bindra was the first Indian to win a gold medal for India in the Olympics when he won in the men’s 10-metre air rifle event at Beijing summer Olympics in 2008.

Neeraj Chopra threw 87.58 m in his second attempt to win the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.  Chopra was the first track and field athlete ever to win a gold medal for India at the Games.

Olympic Museum 

It was set up in 1993 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

It displays artefacts and memorabilia related to Olympics.

The Headquarters of the IOC is also in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Virat Kohli become the first Indian and second in the world to play 100 international matches in all three format

Former Indian cricket captain, Virat Kohli became the first Indian player and the second in the world to play 100 International matches in all the three formats of the games.

  • Ross Taylor of New Zealand was the first player to play 100 international matches in Test, One Day International and T20.
  • He played his 100th T20 international match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup at Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 28 August 2022. He scored 35 runs in the match which was won by India defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets.
  • Till date, Kohli has played 102 Tests, 262 ODI and 100 T20s. 
  • Rohit Sharma is the first Indian player to have played 100T20 (133 matches).
  • 14 Players have played more than 100 T 20s in the world.

First Khelo India Women’s Judo Tournament starts in Guwahati

The 1st edition of ‘Khelo India Women’s Judo Tournament’ commenced at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) centre in Guwahati, Assam on 27 August 2022. The Khelo India Women’s Judo Tournament is scheduled to be held across four zones in India and then there will be a National round.

Schedule of the Khelo India Women’s Judo Tournament’  

  • The Eastern Zone leg of the Khelo India Women’s Judo Tournament’ will be held from 27-31 August 2022 at Guwahati.
  • The South Zone leg will be held from 1-5 September 2022 at Thrissur, Kerala.
  • The North Zone leg will be held from 5-9 September at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
  • The Western Zone leg will be held from 11-14 September at Sardar Sports Complex, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
  • The National Round is scheduled for October 20-23 at the KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.

The competitors will range across four age groups: Sub-Junior (12-15 years), Cadet (15-17 years), Junior (15-20 years) and Senior (15+ years).

To give a boost to the women's Judo sports in India the Union ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports ,Sports Authority of India  with state governments is organising the first ‘Khelo India Women’s Judo Tournament.

India’s Chirag-Satwik wins historic bronze medal in men’s doubles at the BWF World Championships 2022

The Indian men’s doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy had to settle for bronze medal after losing to Malaysian pair of Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in the semi-finals of the BWF World Championships 2022 in Tokyo, Japan, on 27 August 2022.

This was India’s 13th world badminton championships medal but the first in men’s doubles. 

The Indian campaign in the BWF World Championships 2022 has ended with one bronze medal.  

The 27th BWF World Championships 2022 was held in Tokyo, Japan from 22-28 August 2022.

BWF (Badminton World Federation)

It is an international governing body of Badminton in the world.

It was set up as the International Badminton Federation in 1934 and later converted into the World Badminton Federation in 2006.

Currently it has 176 member countries.

FIFA lifts suspension of All India Football Federation; India to host U-17 Women's World Cup 2020

FIFA has lifted the ban imposed on the All India Football Federation (AIFF) after the Supreme Court abolished the Committee of Administrators. 

Now India can host the Women's U-17 World Cup scheduled to take place on 11-30 October 2022.

World football governing body FIFA had suspended the All India Football Federation on August 15 for undue influence from third parties.

7th  FIFA U-17 Women’s world cup 2020

  • The World cup was to be held in 2020 but it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic in India and the world .
  • Matches will be played at  Bhubaneswar's Kalinga Stadium, Goa's Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium

FIFA  U-17 Women's World Cup

  • It is a biennial football tournament started by FIFA in 2008.   
  • It will be the second time that India hosts a FIFA tournament after the men's 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
  • It is for the  first time that India  will host a FIFA women's football tournament.
  • Spain is the defending champion. It won the 2018 U-17 Women’s World Cup held in Uruguay.

Neeraj Chopra, first Indian athlete to win to gold medal in the Diamond League

Tokyo Olympic gold medallist Javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra created history on 26 August 2022, when he became the first Indian to win a Gold Medal at the prestigious Lausanne Diamond League 2022 held at Lausanne, Switzerland.

Achievements of Neeraj Chopra this year

Earlier Chopra had finished second in the Stockholm leg of the diamond league behind Anderson Peters with a national record throw of 89.94m.

He earlier became the second Indian after Anju Bobby George to win  a medal at the World Athletic Championship. He won the silver medal at the World Athletic Championship 2022 on 23 July 2022. 

Qualifies for Diamond league final  

His  throw of 89.08 meter earned  him not only a gold medal but also ensured his qualification for the forthcoming Diamond league final in Zurich ,Switzerland  next week  but also for the 2023 World Championships in Budapest Hungary.

Other Indian to win a medal in Diamond league. 

Before Chopra, discus thrower Vikas Gowda was the only Indian to have a finish in the top three in a Diamond League Meet.

Gowda had finished second twice and won silver medals at the New York 2012 and Doha 2014, Diamond league meet while he won silver medals at the Shanghai and Eugene Diamond league meet in 2015.
