How can I change the language of the article and quizzes?

We have a "Change Language" option in Test Series and Daily Quizzes. If you want the content (test and quiz) in Hindi/English language, go to Settings -> Change Language, to change your default language from Hindi to English or Vice-Versa.

I am unable to make payment for the pass.

In case of failure of a transaction before the amount deduction, we advise the student to try making the payment again. In case of transaction failure after amount deduction either access to the purchased product will be provided within few hours or we request the student to wait for 3 to 4 working days. The money will be credited back to his/her account.

I have made the payment but the tests are not unlocked.

Although rare, if so: You can directly mail us at [email protected] and we will resolve your issue.

What are all the payment methods allowed to buy a plan?

You can pay using: Credit Card/ Debit Card or Through: UPI and Netbanking.

What happens if I get disconnected during a test?

Don't worry! We auto-pause your test so, you can resume the test where you left. The test can also be manually paused by clicking on the "Pause" icon on the top left corner inside the timer circle. Please note: This function is not available in a Live Test.

Rupal Chaudhary becomes the first Indian to win two medals at U20 Worlds

A farmer's daughter form Uttar Pradesh, Rupal Chaudhary won her second medal at the 19th U-20 World Athletics Championships 2022 in Cali, Colombia on 5 August 2022.

  • The 19th World U20 Athletics championship is being held in Cali, Colombia from 1 -6 August 2022. 
  • She won the Bronze medal in the women’s 400 meters race.
  • The gold medal was won by Yemi Mary John of England and silver by Damaris Mutunga of Kenya.
  • Earlier she was part of the mixed 4x400 meters relay team of Priya Mohan, Bharath Sridhar, and Kapil Chaudhary, which won a silver medal on 2 August 2022.
  • She is now the first Indian athlete to win two medals in a single edition of the U-20 World Athletics Championships.
  • Rupal Chaudhary is the second Indian to have won a medal in the women's 400m after Hima Das' gold in the 2018 edition in Finland.
  • Olympic gold medallist javelin thrower ,Neeraj Chopra was the first Indian to win a world athletics U20 gold medal  at Bydgoszcz 2016 in Poland.

Assam CM unveils the 131st Durand Cup Trophies in Guwahati

The Chief Minister of Assam, Himant Biswa Sarma unveiled the three Durand Cup trophies in a ceremony in Guwahati on 21 July 2022. The winner of the Durand cup is presented with three trophies.

The three trophies, the Durand Cup (a rolling trophy and the original prize), the Shimla Trophy (also a rolling trophy and first given by the residents of Shimla in 1904) and the President’s Cup (for permanent keep and first presented by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first President, in 1956) is on a five-city tour.

Assam, which is hosting the tournament for the first time, was chosen as the first stop.

Journey of the Trophies 

The trophies were flagged off from Kolkata on July 19, 2022 and after being in Guwahati for two days will proceed to Imphal in Manipur which is also hosting it for the first time. 

It will then proceed to Jaipur, as for the first time the state of Rajasthan would be fielding a team and will then make a final stop at the home of the defending champions FC Goa before returning back to Kolkata on 31 July, 2022.

 131st Durand Football tournament 

  • This year the 134 year old football championship will be held in five cities. Three cities of West Bengal, Guwahati and Imphal (Manipur) will hold the matches and the final will be played at Kolkata’s Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK) stadium on 18 September 2022.
  • There will be a total of 47 games in the 131st Durand Cup edition, with both Guwahati’s Indira Gandhi Athletic stadium and Imphal’s Khuman Lampakh stadium hosting 10-games of group C and group D each, and rest of the matches will be held in three West Bengal venues.   
  •  This year 20-top teams of the country, including all 11 teams from the Indian Super League (ISL) are participating as compared to 16 that participated last year.

Durand Cup 

  • Durand football tournament or Durand cup is the oldest football club tournament in Asia. 
  • It was started in 1888 and the first tournament was held in Shimla.
  • Initially it was a football tournament for different regiments of the British army and it was later opened to the civilians.
  • The Tournament is organised by the Indian Army and All India Football Federation.
  • The winner is given three trophies, Durand Cup, Shimla Trophy and the President’s cup. 
  • The Cup is named after the foreign secretary of British India, Mortimer Durand.
  • Currently FC Goa is the 130th Durand Cup winner.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur inaugurates 2-Day National Conference of Sports Ministers at Kevadia

Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Anurag Thakur inaugurated the two day (24-25 June 2022) National conference of Ministers' of Sports of States /Union Territory (UT) at Kevadia, Gujarat on 24 June 2022.

  • The minister pointed out the significance of the statue of unity in Kevadia and the location of the National conference of sports ministers at Kevadia.
  • He said that the statue of unity  is a symbol of Unity in Diversity and in the conference, ministers from diverse states will come together and discuss how they can take the right steps for sports so that the players can perform better and enhance the pride of the country.
  • The statue of unity is the world's tallest statue with a height of 182 meters in Kevadia. It is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.  
  • During the conference various aspects of Khelo India Scheme like Geo-Tagging of Playfields, Training Centres/Academies in the States, Talent Identification & Development through Sports Competitions, Promotion of Sports for women, persons with disability, Tribals & Rural Areas, Indigenous Games and Importance of Education and Awareness on Anti-Doping, Building the ecosystem for Sports Support Professionals among others will be discussed.

Real Madrid beat Liverpool to win record 14th UEFA Champions League title

The Spanish football club Real Madrid became the UEFA Champions League 2021-22 season  winner by defeating the English Football club , Liverpool 1-0 in the final held at  Stade de France stadium in Paris France on 29 May 2022.

  •  The final was to be held in the Russian city of St Petersburg, but it was moved to Paris after the Russian invasion of Ukraine by UEFA. 
  •  It was the 14th title for the Real Madrid club. 
  • The Brazilian player  Vinicius Junior scored the goal for Real Madrid .
  • English team Chelsea was the winner of the 2020-21 season .

 UEFA Champions League 

  •  It is Europe's top football club league championship  .The Champions League was first held in the 1955-56 season but was known as the European Cup.  Real Madrid was the first club to win the competition after beating French team Stade de Reims in the final.
  • The name of the competition was changed to UEFA Champions League from the 1992-93 season. 
  •  Maximum title has been won by Real Madrid  14 times while  the Italian club AC Milan has won seven titles .
  • German club Bayern  Munich and English club  Liverpool have won the titles six times each .

Hangzhou Asian Games postponed until 2023 over COVID

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) after its executive board meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on 6 May 2022 has decided to postpone the 19th Asian Games to be held in the Chinese’s city of Hangzhou in September 2022.

  •  The Asian Games was scheduled to take place from September 10-25 in Hangzhou city which is around 175 kilometers southwest of China's financial center Shanghai.
  •  China is witnessing its works covid outbreak after the covid virus was discovered in the Chinese city of Wuhan in 2019.Its commercial capital Shanghai was in a complete lockdown for the past one month.
  • The OCA has cancelled the Asian Youth Games, scheduled for December in Shantou, and Tashkent will host its next edition in 2025.

Ronnie O’Sullivan wins 7th world snooker title

Ronnie O Sullivan of England won his 7th World Professional snooker Championship title by beating fellow Englishman Judd Trump in the final held at Sheffield, England on 3 May 2022.

Ronnie O Sullivan equalled the world record 7 title win of Stephen Hendry of Scotland.

Ronnie O Sullivan who is also called as the Rocket won the World titles in 2001, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2020, and in 2022.

Jain University tops the medal table as the 2nd Khelo India University Games 2021 comes to an end

The 2nd edition of the Khelo India University Games(KIUG) 2021 came to a glittering end on 3 May 2022 at Bengaluru ,Karnataka .  The 2nd KIUG  2021 was hosted by Jain University from 24 April to 3 May 2022 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. 

Union Ministry of Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah was the chief guest at the  closing ceremony . The ceremony was also attended by the Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai ,Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Thakur and other dignitaries.

  • At the closing ceremony 500 students performed Yogasana showcasing the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

  •  Some 3,800 participants representing 189 universities  participated in  20 sporting disciplines in 275 different medal events. 

  • For the first time  two indigenous sports, yogasana and mallakhamb, were included in the games.

  •  The 2nd KIUG was a Green Games. Everything used in the Games outside the field of play was made of reusable material; Electric vehicles were  used to transport athletes and all waste was segregated as wet and dry at the source in every venue. 

Notable Winners

  • Host Jain University topped the medal tally with 20 golds and  overall tally of 32 medals .

  • Swimmer Siva Sridhar of Jain University won the most number of individual medals at KIUG 2021, winning 7 golds and two silvers. 

  • Swimmer Shrungi Bandekar of Jain University was the most successful female athlete at KIUG 2021 with four golds and one silver.

Harshada Sharad Garuda wins first world lifting gold for India

Harshada Sharad  Garuda became the first Indian player ever to win a gold medal at the IWF Junior World Championships in Heraklion, Greece on 2 May 2022.

Harshada claimed the gold medal with a total effort of 153kg in the women’s 45kg category.

Other Medal winners for India

In the women 49 kg category Gyaneshwari  Yadav got Silver  and V. Rithika  got bronze medal.

Mirabai Chanu who won a bronze in 2013 and last year’s silver winner Achinta Sheuli are the other Indians who have won medals at the junior world event previously.

IWF Junior World Championship 2022

  • The World Juniors Weightlifting Championships is organised by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF)

  • The first competition was held in 1975 at Marseille, France.

  • The 2022World Juniors Weightlifting Championships is being held  in Heraklion, Greece from 2 to 10 May 2022.

Al-Rihla is the official football of the FIFA world cup 22

FIFA has revealed the official match ball of the FIFA World cup 2022 named Al Rihla. It has been made by Adidas. Adidas is a German multinational company.

  • The name of the football ball used in the FIFA world cup 2018 held in Russia was Telstar 18. 

  • Al Rihla means “Journey” in Arabic and it is inspired by the culture, architecture, iconic boats and flags of Qatar.

  • Al-Rihla is the first FIFA World cup ball to be made exclusively with water based inks and glues.

  • It is the 14th successive ball made by Adddidas to be used in the FIFA world cup.

FIFA WORLD CUP 

It is an international men’s senior football championship  organised by FIFA and it is held every four years. No world cup was held in 1942 and 1946 due to the second world war.

The first world cup was held in 1930 and the 21st world cup was held in Russia. 

The 22nd world cup will be held in Qatar  in 2022.

The current champion is France.

Arjun Erigaisi wins Delhi International Chess title

Grandmaster and national champion Arjun Erigaisi defeated  Karthik Venkataraman to win the 19th Delhi International open chess tournament  held in New Delhi on 29 March 2022.

Arjun got Rs 4 lakh rupees as the winner's purse plus a glittering trophy.

Arjun Erigaisi is from Telangana.
