Section-wise Approach to the UPSSSC Lekhpal Exam
The exam will comprise following four sections:
Rural Society and Rural Development
General Hindi
General Knowledge
Mathematics
The UPSSSC Lekhpal exam is worth 100 marks and has 100 questions. Each segment will have 25 (twenty-five) questions with a total score of 25 marks each. Only objective questions will be asked. For each incorrect answer, there will be negative marking of ¼ marks, i.e. 0.25 marks. However, negative marking is not applied to unanswered questions.
Below are some expert-recommended strategies for each subject which will assist you in quickly mastering these four areas:
Rural Society and Development
The information required to be covered by the candidate in this section is available on government websites. Spend some time learning about government-run schemes in Uttar Pradesh and their dates, as you may be asked about them. The UP government website has a wealth of information on rural development.
General Hindi
This section is ideal for easy scoring, and answering the questions here takes less time. However, if you are not fluent in Hindi, allow enough time to learn the fundamentals (basic grammar). Because you can expect a lot of grammar questions, you should prepare thoroughly.
General Knowledge
All questions in this section require answers in a single line. One can expect many questions in this section from General Science, so you should prepare thoroughly. Examine previous years' questions because many are frequently repeated. Spend more time answering questions about which you are knowledgeable.
Mathematics
The key to success in this subject is practise. You must practise various topics with varying degrees of difficulty until you have mastered all of the concepts. Using mock tests, identify your strong and weak points and work on improving your weak points. Go through the previous year's papers to determine the level of difficulty of the questions that may be asked. After you finish the other questions, set aside time to answer questions that require a lot of calculation.
Apart from these there are some additional tried and trusted tips to ace your exam:
Attempt Mock Tests for Lekhpal
Mock tests are the best way to fully comprehend the actual exam level. Taking the UPSSSC Lekhpal Mock Test is a great way to practise time management by answering questions in a set amount of time. Attempting section-wise mock test will help you to revise each section/topic mored efficiently.
It is crucial to revise what you have studied
The habit of revision is the key to success in this competitive exam. Revisiting each topic several times will help you remember the answers more easily during the exams. It is common for students who do not revise enough to panic during exams and forget what they have learned. Don’t forget to revise the factual and short notes hich you prepared while studying.
Previous Year's Exam Papers
Examining the test papers will help you determine the difficulty level of the exam and which subjects to concentrate on the most. It is preferable to study previous years' test papers and focus on frequently repeated subjects rather than conducting an exhaustive study. It will assist you in developing a thorough understanding of the topics as well as recalling the answers at the appropriate time.
