SSC GD 2021 OVERVIEW
The notification for SC GD Constable 2021 was released online by SSC on its official website: Click Here on 17th July 2021.
Aspiring candidates can access the official link for the online form or they can apply through the Indian Government’s UMANG APP.
The last date to fill the SSC GD Constable form is 31st August 2021.
The notification was released for 25,271 vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), (number of vacancies for male candidates is 22,424 and for females are 2,847).
Candidates must note: The last date to apply online for SSC GD Constable 2021 is August 31st and the last date to submit the application fee online is September 2nd and in the offline mode, the application fee can be submitted till September 7th but the bank challan must be generated on or before September 4.
SSC Constable (General Duty) is a popular exam among candidates because of its eligibility criteria, salary, and the pride associated with working in the security forces. SSC GD Constable Exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for the posts of Constable (General Duty) and Rifleman (General Duty) in the following Central Armed Police Forces:

Steps to apply online for SSC GD Exam 2021
Application must be submitted in online mode at the official Website of Commission.
To apply online for SSC Ground Duty Constable 2021:

- Click on the “Register or Login”
- Now click the "GD-Constable"
- Submit your valid details in the application form.
- Now submit the GD Constable form.
- You'll get a registration number, save the registration number for future purposes.

Candidates can pay fee through various online payment modes:
BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
SSC GD ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Educational Qualifications (As on 01.08.2021):
- The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Age Limit:
- 18-23 years as on 01.08.2021. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.08.1998 and later than 01.08.2003.
Age Relaxation:
Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are:

The physical standards of SSC GD Constables as per the SSC GD notification are as follows:
PST is an important stage in the selection process of SSC GD Constables. This stage is qualifying in nature and candidates have to clear it to appear in the written exam.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- For Physical Efficiency Test, candidates will have to participate in race.

Note:
- Candidates who qualify in the Physical Standard Test (PST) will be eligible to appear for the online objective type examination,
- There is 0.25 of negative marking in the exam for wrong answers.
- The total time duration for the online exam is 90 minutes (1.5 hours). The online exam will be conducted in English or Hindi.
- The SSC GD 2021 Exam date will be released later.
Medical Test
As per the SSC GD recruitment notification, the candidates must have good physical and mental health. They should not have the following:
- Knock knee
- Varicose vein
- Flat foot
- Squint in eyes
Candidates’ X-ray, blood test and eye test will be conducted. The eye sight must meet the following conditions:
